Welcome to CCS Sports!
Dear Parents and Students,
Greetings! My name is John Gallagher, and I am the Athletic Director at Charlotte Central School. And once again, as summer enters its final stretch, it’s time to start thinking about the CCS Fall sports seasons. I look forward to working with all of you to make this another fun and fruitful year for CCS Athletics. I can be reached through the school switchboard at Voice Box 306, or, via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. The fall season shapes up to be one of great promise, and I wish each of you good luck as you pursue your seasons.
In a new development this year all 5th 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are eligible to come out for either Boys’ or Girls’ Soccer, or the Cross-Country Team. This is the first time our 5th grade students may participate in Soccer. We hope everyone considers taking part
in these great youth sports opportunities. We hope to see you all out there on the fields!
All soccer players must provide their own shin guards, black soccer shorts and red soccer sox, and although cleats are not required, they are recommended.
Please click here for your CCS Sports Information and Forms Packet. This includes the CCS Sports Participation Permission Slip, the Heads-Up Concussion Fact Sheet, and the Student-Athlete Code of Responsibility form. These should be completed and turned in by or at the first practice. If you are unable to get a medical appointment prior to the start of the season, please indicate on the form the date and time of the upcoming appointment and the name of the medical practice or health provider that is to be seen. If needed, duplicate permission forms will be provided for medical appointments.
Don’t forget that the athletic bus will provide transportation to away sporting events, but parents/guardians are responsible for students’ return home. There will not be an athletic bus making a return trip from away sporting events.
Have a great season and we look forward to seeing you all on the fields.
